Tuft Withdrawal Force Tester - The tuft withdrawal force tester is used to find the tuft binding strength of a carpet, which is the force required to extract a tuft from it. It is mainly used for determination of force needed to pull out tufts from unknotted tufted carpets. & The& Tuft Withdrawal Force Tester has a spring dynamometer which carries a clamp for gripping a single tuft. The dynamometer is moved up and down with the help of a screw and hand wheel arrangement. A maximum load pointer is provided on the dynamometer to indicate the maximum force exerted on the tuft before it is pulled out. & An opening in the base plate enables the test to be carried on a large area by placing the tester at the desired location.
