Experimental Set Suspension Cable

Model HV-EXP2640
Technical Description This experimental set is intended for use with the universal test frame. It demonstrates the behaviour of a cable naturally sagging under the effect of its own weight. The cable is in this case represented by a chain. Sprockets are used to suspend the chain. To minimise the friction, the sprockets are equipped with ball bearings. The tensile forces are defined by sets of weights on the ends of the chain. The sag line is measured horizontally and vertically using the rulers included. All elements are quickly and securely attached to the test frame using rapid action clamps..
