Thickness Tester - Digital
Thickness Tester - Digital Model HV-EXP5871
Thickness Tester - Digital - The thickness of any type of textiles depends considerably on the load being exerted on it during measurement of thickness. Also the thickness gets reduced progressively as the load acting on it is increased. Thus it is necessary that the thickness is determined under a specified load so that the value determined could be considered standard. By determination of thickness under different loads, one can get an indication of the resistance of the textile to compression under load, as well as its ability to recover from the effects of such loads after the load is removed. The& Thickness Tester - Digital is designed to measure the thickness of floor coverings under different loads. It consists of a rigid metallic frame having a loading rod held with its axis vertical capable of moving freely in two brass guide bushes. The rod has a flat cylinder indentor fixed on its lower end and a small metallic disc shaped collar fitted on its body. Slotted dead weights of appropriate loading capacity can be placed on this collar to enable different pressures to be applied on the specimen under test. The rod and the load can be raised or lowered with the help of a lever arm. civil lab equipments manufacturers.

Rotary Platform Double
Rotary Platform Double Model HV-EXP5870
Rotary Platform Double - One of the methods used for determination of abrasion resistance of textile materials or coated fabrics is the rotary platform method. In this test a test specimen is abraded using rotary rubbing action. The test specimen is mounted on a horizontal circular platform and rotates at a specified speed. Two abrasive wheels are made to rest on the upper surface of the test specimen on either side of its centre. The wheels rotate because of friction between them and the test specimen, thus causing abrasion to take place. The wheels are loaded to apply the desired contact force. Abrasion resistance of the test specimen is evaluated either by finding the degree of abrasion after a specified number of rotations of the test specimen, or by determining the number of rotations needed to produce a specified degree of abrasion. civil lab equipments manufacturers.

Inclined Plane Flammability Tester Model HV-EXP5868
Inclined Plane Flammability Tester - Flammability Tester of textile materials may be determined by various methods. One of the methods used for determination of flammability of textile materials is the inclined plane flammability test. In this method, a test specimen taken from the sample under test is held in a sheet metal holder at an inclination of 45°. A flame from a standard jet is made to impinge on the upper face of the textile material near its bottom edge and the time taken for it to propagate through a distance of 127 mm determined to evaluate the flammability of textile material sample under test. The Inclined Plane Flammability Tester for textile materials consists of a specimen rack for mounting the test specimen holder, a specimen holder in which the test specimens are held for conducting the test, arrangement to enable a standardized flame to impinge on the test specimen, and a timer to record the time taken by the flame to propagate through a distance of 127 mm. The various components are mounted inside a draught proof stainless steel sheet enclosure. & The specimen rack provides support for the holders in which the specimens are mounted. Its angle of inclination is 45°. The rack can be moved sideways to enable textile materials of different thickness to be set at the specified distance from the tip of the jet with the help of an adjusting screw. A built-in finger is provided to gauge this distance for setting it to the desired value. civil lab equipments manufacturers.

Crimp Tester
Crimp Tester Model HV-EXP5867
Crimp Tester - The crimp in a yarn is defined as the mean difference between the actual length of any yarn and its apparent length in the fabric after weaving. It is usually expressed as a percentage of the apparent length of the yarn in the fabric. & Determination of the crimp of yarn is carried out by marking a known length on the fabric, removing the marked yarn in such a manner that it does not loose its twist, holding it between two grips at the marked points, and slowly extending it till it is subjected to a specified straightening tension. The increase in length of the yarn is determined and expressed as a percentage of marked length to obtain the value of crimp. & The Crimp Tester is designed to determine the crimp of yarns taken out of fabrics. One end of the yarn is held in a pivoted loading grip on which the desired tension load is applied by means of a sliding weight acting on a lever arm, while the other end is held in a movable grip which is mounted on a screw and can move along the direction of the yarn, stretching it in the process. The distance moved through by this grip gives the extension of the yarn, and can be measured on a scale fixed by the side of the grip assembly civil lab equipments manufacturers.

Crimp Rigidity Tester
Crimp Rigidity Tester Model HV-EXP5866
Crimp Rigidity Tester - Crimp Rigidity of a textured yarn gives a measure of its ability to recover from stretch. It is determined by measuring the percentage reduction of length of a skein of yarn immersed in water when a minor load replaces a major load. For measuring crimp rigidity, a skein of known number of strands is prepared from the package of yarn under test. This skein is then immersed in water filled in a glass jar with a load of 0.1 g/denier/strand suspended on it. The length of the skein is measured on a scale. The load is then reduced to 0.002 g/denier/strand by replacing the major load by the minor load and the reading on the scale observed. Crimp rigidity is calculated from the readings obtained under the major and minor loads. civil lab equipments manufacturers.
