Technical Description The set is intended for use with the universal test frame and demonstrates the basics of torsion loading can be investigated. The set contains several test rods made of brass with different shape cross-sections. A moment is applied to the rods using a cord around a pulley. The angle of twist at any point along the rod can be read with the aid of two sliding scales. Two chucks enable the test rods to be changed rapidly and easily.
