Friction on Inclined Plane

Model HV-EXP2649
Technical Description This unit enables experiments to be performed on weight and friction forces on an inclined plane as a function of the angle of inclination. The unit comprises a plane with a plastic coating, a pillar and a base plate. The inclination angle can be adjusted using swivelling joint and scale over a range of ±45°. Two sliding bodies each made of two different materials (steel, brass, aluminium and polypropylene) provide, in combination with the plane, reproducible measurements with very low "slip-stick" effects. As a result, it is possible to very clearly demonstrate the transition from static to sliding, and to clearly demonstrate the "friction cone"
