In operation the compressometer isplaced over the specimen which Is locked Into position usingthe mounting screw, and the control bars are removed.Adjustments can be made in the setting of the dial gaugewhich will indicate deformation as specimen is tested. Thedial indicator reads to .002 mm x 12 mm or .0001 x W'.
