Opacity or transparency is a basic property of a paper. The opacity is defined as a ration of reflectance measurements. The opacity of the sheet is subjective to the thickness, degree of bleaching of the fibers, the amount and kind of filler, coating and other parameters. Perfect for the laboratories, the Opacity Meter is a simple to utilize, off stroke instrument that specifies the relative opacity of plastic film, laminates, paper, printed packaging and other related materials. With a single pass of the light foundation through your material, the system measures comparative light conduction on a scale of 0 – 100 Opacity Units, in lieu of perfectly transparent to purely dense materials.
